Fiber Arts Workshops
A bit of history....In April of 1994, The Fiber Garden offered its first workshop in beginning spinning. There were several more beginning spinning classes that year. Most of those first "students" have become good friends that I continue to see frequently. In 1995, spinning workshops were expanded to include several one-day intermediate classes; at the same time new beginning spinners kept joining our fiber family.
1996 was a big year as I took the leap and began offering classes in weaving, knitting, herbs, and needle arts. Five talented teachers were hired to teach these classes....they have helped to give The Fiber Garden its' warm personality.
After ten years and two locations, The Fiber Garden has moved once again to the perfect retreat to learn and create. Workshops will be conducted in the large new studio located in the walk-out basement of a new log home. The mercantile and yarn shop will be housed in a cute old farmhouse nearby on the property that looks out on the Black River.
