Welcome into my log Home where you will be warmly greeted at the door with the kind of hospitality you've come to expect at the Fiber Garden.  A table of holiday treats awaits your sampling and the chocolate fountain will be flowing!  Spicy cocoa mocha or cranberry cream punch will be served by the hostess.  New recipes and some old favorites...all with recipe cards for you to take and recreate at your own holiday celebrations.  With your plate and cup overflowing, take a seat and relax, enjoy the live music on the first weekend, and take in the view.   If you spin, knit, crochet, etc, bring along your current project and plan to stay and relax and enjoy the environment.  A-h-h-h...this is how Christmas was meant to be!

Live Music!
See the schedule above.   Melody Becker is from the Osseo area and plays the flute beautifully.  She has played for several years at the Fiber Garden with her older sister Michala who is a harpist.  Michala is now at college on the East coast and so Melody will have her solo debut this year!   Trish Clifford is a harpist from the La Crosse area.  This will be her second year performing at the Fiber Garden and we are looking forward to her harp music!  Last year Trish shared her guitar talent.   An order to replace a broken harp string ended up "missing in action" in shipping.  Her guitar was melodious and her talent evident!  Robert Crader was a musician at the Holiday Country Retreat in 2009 playing guitar with his wife, Donna, as vocalist.  This year Robert will bring his newest passion...the hammer dulcimer!  It has been many years since the Fiber Garden has enjoyed this unique and mesmerizing instrument and we are so thankful to have it return in 2011. Donna will hostess the day that Robert is sharing his music...it will be a family affair!

Welcome the Fiber Arts Studio and Mercantile.  The mercantile is co-located with the studio in the lower level of the log home and has been transformed for the holiday season from a studio into a holiday gift shop.  See where the dozens of workshops are conducted here at the Fiber Garden.  Perhaps you'll find a spinner, weaver, or knitter busy at work.  You'll certainly be inspired to see the looms, fibers, and wheels.  Learn about the workshops taught at our studio...and register for one if your interest is peaked!  The Mercantile is brimming with all your gift needs!  We've stocked up on some new items so you can pamper yourself over the holidays...or gift them to others.

New this year are more items for the tea drinker.  Infuser cups and mugs and tumblers, full leaf teas in some new blends.  The new "Flip 'n Tumble" bags are a perfect stocking stuffer and practical gift...especially for us artists and crafters who never have enough bags to stuff our goodies in. Solar lid lights will make your holidays bright.  And owner  Deb has been busy in the studio dyeing and you'll find her dyed silk scarves, gift bags, socks and shoelaces to add some color to your gift giving.

The Fiber Garden continues to focus its holiday gift lines on low-cost, high quality items that will be perfect for all those people that you just need "a little something" for.  Most of our items are under $10.  Consider us the place for "stocking stuffers"!  And while your purchases are being packaged, stop upstairs to relax and enjoy the music and holiday dessert and beverage buffet.

The holiday spirit of the Fiber Garden is anxiously awaiting your visit!
